WHY IS MY PROFILE SAYING IT IS PRIVATE

I asked a player if he would except me to be his friend. A few minutes later, I had a message from the player I wanted to be friends with.  He stated that YES, he wanted to become friends. However, he said that when he went to my Profile Page, it said that my profile was private. I have a description about myself on my profile.  So, WHY does it say it's PRIVATE?  How do I fix this issue, ASAP so that we can be friends. I suppose that now everyone that goes to my profile is seeing that it is private.  But I am seeing that it is not.

  You would need to double-check your Privacy & Sharing Settings. You'll need to set who can view your Profile to Everyone.
